Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth Dawson believes some of life's greatest blessings are found in serving others. Married to her husband, Grayson, and raising two young children, Finley and Elliott, with another baby on the way this December, Elizabeth's days are full. As a Registered Dietitian, she enjoys all things food, especially cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and perfecting creations with her sourdough starter. When she's not in the kitchen, you'll likely find her outdoors hiking, swimming, or spending time with her family.

Although she can't remember her very first day volunteering, one memory from orientation still makes her smile. Her son Elliott was just six months old and joined her for the session. Like many moms have experienced, he had a memorable diaper blowout during the class. While Elizabeth was certain everyone noticed, she later realized no one seemed bothered. It became an early reminder that this ministry welcomes families and creates space for volunteers to serve in every season of life.

For Elizabeth, serving is deeply personal. She has a passion for advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves, especially the unborn, while also caring for women who often feel scared, alone, or overwhelmed. She loves that the ministry offers compassionate support through every stage of a woman's journey, whether she is pregnant, navigating postpartum life, or seeking healing after abortion.

"What I love most," Elizabeth shares, "is that we meet women where they are and surround them with resources, support, and love."

Today, Elizabeth serves on staff, and she describes it as the most meaningful work she has ever done.

"I have held many different jobs, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best job I could ever have," she says. "It means so much to pour into a mission I fully believe in and to see how the body of Christ truly builds His church. Being able to share His love with others by serving in this way is the most rewarding thing I could ever ask for."

One experience that stands out was a recent baby shower hosted for expectant mothers. Watching the families celebrate together left a lasting impression, especially one couple who proudly wore matching blue outfits to celebrate the baby boy they were expecting. Moments like these remind Elizabeth that every family deserves to feel celebrated, supported, and loved.

Serving has also transformed her personally.

"I never would have expected volunteering to bring me such indescribable joy," she says. "It helps me center my heart on Jesus and reminds me of the true purpose of this life with Him."

She has also been deeply encouraged by the people who make up the ministry. From staff to volunteers, she says their kindness and genuine love for others is evident from the moment someone walks through the doors.

Most importantly, Elizabeth has witnessed God's faithfulness in countless ways. She has seen Him provide abundantly through generous donations, faithful volunteers answering His call to serve, and leaders who seek His wisdom in guiding the ministry forward.

To anyone wondering if they should get involved, Elizabeth offers simple encouragement:

"If God is prompting your heart to get involved, listen. You won't regret it."

Stories like Elizabeth's remind us that serving doesn't just impact the lives of those receiving care. It transforms the hearts of those who say yes. Through every volunteer, every staff member, and every act of compassion, God continues to work in powerful ways, bringing hope, healing, and His love to every person who walks through our doors.
